What were Furry4Life and FurriesXtreme?


They were social networks for the furry community. Furry4Life was a safe-surf family friendly social network for the furry community. FurriesXtreme was a social network for adults in the furry community. Created to be a social equality space for furries and free membership after profile approval. What that means is you gained front page status and leaderboard points by being active on the website. So you didn't need to be the popular kid, or the most talented in the room. If you were friendly and willing to comment on posts, you had the ability to be seen by anyone that logs into the network. Combined, the networks had over 100k users!
Unfortunately, due to the passing of our third party host, the networks went down in Jan 2024. The sites were mostly paid for by the owner, Shy Matsi, and via credit card which racked up over $10k in debt.

So what now?


There is a plan to bring them back in the future, but for the time being, he's in school and does not have the funding to bring them back right away. In the meantime, the plan is to showcase their current homes on other larger social media platforms, to keep the community going, till he can bring the sites back.

The Mascot Corner!

Art is and has always been a huge part of the furry community. To give ourselves a fresh branding look, we held polls on both sites to find out who furs wanted to see represent the networks. FurriesXtreme had a clear winner, Boxtor, a Husky in Green Shorts. Furry4Life had ties! So for F4L there was a wolf, bear, dragon, tiger, otter, and a raccoon! Below were some of the early versions of those characters. Thank you to artists: KoOkY Fox, Teaselbone, ChrisBCritter, Blotch, GT, Kojak Coyote, Taso Rooikat, and Dogz R Barkin! (There was another artist for the Mac Valley Wolf, that did not sign their work. If you know who it is, please let us know!)
